Memorial services for Dora Mae Welch Price of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 1, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Keith Welch officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Dora was born February 9, 1932 in Lake Providence, LA and passed away March 24, 2023. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of Cypress Church Street Church where she worked in the nursery. Her love for her family was unending. Dora came to Monroe in the early 50’s where she began working at Brown Paper as a factory worker and retired after 35 years. She loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. Her passion was working in her yard and raising her roses. Dora was a kind soul with a zest for life and loved to spread laughter all around. She was preceded in death by her parents Harley Welch and Lizzie Mayo Welch; siblings Estelle Welch, Akeman Welch, Alton Welch, James Welch, Otis Welch, Homer Welch, she was immediately followed within hours by the of death her sister, Annie Ruth Welch Dartez.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Debbie Boyter; 2 grandchildren Amie Boyter Myers and husband Phillip and Matthew Blake Boyter and wife Lauren; 7 great-grandchildren Kade, Zach, Ty Garrett, Bennett, Ellie, Brett and Magan; numerous nieces and nephews.
