I met “Boach” while attending youth events at Trinity Methodist as a guest with my friends. His love for Christ and young people was evident in everything he did and said. I loved attending his Bible studies as a teen. I am thankful for the influence he had on my life spiritually, and I know I am only one of the hundreds that he impacted.

Emily Morris left a message on October 28, 2020:
Coach Barmore was one of the most impactful teachers I've ever had. He was a consistent man, with an even more consistent curriculum. I fully credit his American History class with giving me the ability to take quick, detailed notes in any class, meeting, or conference call. In the years beyond high school, I would serve him and his friends every Friday night at RAW. They would always come in and sit at the same booth. Again, he was a man of consistency. Seeing him on Friday nights became something I looked forward to, and something I missed when it was time for me to graduate college and enter the "real world." I know Coach Barmore has touched countless lives, and his legacy will live on well beyond today. He will be missed.

Coach Barmore's students studied directly under generals. In peace, Coach's students negotiated treatises with European powers. We discovered the Americas; conquered the West; accepted Lee's surrender at Appomattox. History burned with life when Coach Barmore weaved a story of it. Coach Barmore's body may be gone, but his gift lives on. Thousands of students hear him still. His lessons echo in our minds; his kindness in our hearts. He taught us more than dates, he taught us to love learning. Thank you for sharing with us, Coach. See you next period.
