Donna Sue Moore Funeral services for Donna Sue DeMoss Moore, 61, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Robert Daulton officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pines Memorial Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Moore was born in Monroe, LA on August 17, 1949 and died on April 2, 2011 in Ruston, LA. She is a member of The Gospel, Inc. and Home Church. Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her parents and son, Paul D. Richardson. There was not a more loving, faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the epitome of the Proverbs 31 “Virtuous Woman”. She is loved and will be greatly missed by all. Till we meet again. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband William “Bill” Moore of Ruston, daughters, Stephanie Brobst of Ruston and Mary M. Griffin and husband Reed Griffin of West Monroe; granddaughters, Kara Cunningham, Amber Brobst, Ansley Griffin; brother, Jim DeMoss of Chester, New Hampshire. Pallbearers will be Reed Griffin, James Moore, Daniel Moore, Buddy Moore, Allen Upshaw and Jimmy Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Moore, Rick Godly, Will Ham, Matt Napier, Seth Humphries, Mark Armstrong, and Greg Henkel. I sit here wondering what to write. Donna and I met in church. She became my "college mother" back then. She would always fix me lunch on Sundays while Paul and I played chess in the den. We suffered the loss of her dad, and then Paul, together. We prayed together, laughed together, and, yes, even cried together. I will miss this incredible woman of God. She touched my life deeply, and Im sure her memory will continue to do so as well.

I am speechless when I received word that Donna had passed away. She had such a beautiful spirit and I have nothing but fond memories of the bible studies that my husband and I attended years ago with she and Bill.
