Donald Potier was born February 29, 1940 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away November 20, 2022 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Donald worked for TXI and he was a former United States Marine. He loved to fish and hunt. Donald walked daily at Kiroli Park and fed the squirrels. He was preceded in death by his parents Preston and Blanche Potier; brother Harold Potier and sister Doris Rogers.
Donald is survived by his daughter Christie White; sister Evelyn Houston and husband J.L. of Bakersfield, California and their children Ron and Marcie; granddaughter Casey L. White; cousin (like a sister) Claudine Dempsey Vega; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; multiple friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I met Mr Don@Kiroli Park. I run daily and saw Mr Don frequently, feeding the squirrels. He loved going to St Francis for lunches! He always had a smile on his face! We will miss Mr Don @ Kiroli Park!

I just heard that Don passed away. I spoke to him a few days before and everything seemed ok with him. I really got to know him the last few years and he and I walked together every day (weather permitting) at Kiroli Park. Otherwise we would go to Glenwood Mall or Pecanland Mall to get our walking in. He was a fine gentleman and he will be missed by me and the rest of his friends. May his soul rest in peace.
