Donald Eugene Lee passed away on March 2, 2024. He was born in Digby, GA on October 31, 1931. He was a graduate of Brooks High School and the University of Georgia Veterinary School.

After private practice for several years in Newnan, GA, Don and his family moved to Ruston LA where he worked for the United States Department of Agriculture helping to eradicate brucellosis in cattle. His daughter, Eleanor, passed away in 1964. Don retired in 1995 and moved to Black Mountain, NC where he and his loving wife, Ginny, built a home in Laurel Ridge. Ginny passed away in 1999. Don worked for eighteen years at Biltmore.

He was a loyal member of Generations Church and took great comfort in hearing God’s word there and on many of the religious programs he watched on television.

Don is survived by his children, Michael (Blair), Deannie, and Steven and his grandchildren, Jennifer (Ricky), Samuel, Max, and Bodhi Lee.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
