Funeral services for Mrs. Dixie Delores Beach Brown, age 74, Monroe, LA will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA. at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Burial will be at St. Maurice Cemetery, St. Maurice, LA, approximately eight 8 miles west of Winnfield, LA, at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Brown was born February 27, 1933 in Birmingham, AL, and died February 10, 2008 in Monroe. Delores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Dixie Beach of St. Stephens, AL, infant daughter, Mary Diane and great granddaughter, Zoe Arie. Survivors include her devoted husband, Dwight Brown, three 3 daughters, Debra Daigle and husband David, Denise Shannon and husband Steve, Dixie Womble and husband Barry, six 6 grandchildren, Josh and Jeremiah Daigle, Stephanie Shannon, Heather Brown, Taylor and Krista Siddon, one 1 step grandchild, Roman Womble, six 6 great grandchildren, LouLou, Radlee, Bronson, Marissa, Baylee and Landan, brothers Jimmy and Ray Beach of Jackson, AL, as well as many loving friends and family including Patty Grubbs who was like an adopted daughter. Donations can be sent to Community Baptist Church, West, Monroe, LA or Christian Harmony Baptist Church, Natchitoches, LA. Mrs. Brown's pallbearers are David, Josh and Jeremiah Daigle, Wesley Martin, Wayne Gourdon, Mike Judah, Mark Tingle. Honorary Pallbearers are her nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
