Interment will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens, West Monroe, LA under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mr. Byrd was born March 14, 1922, in West Monroe, LA and passed away June 12, 2007, in West Monroe, LA. A retired air conditioning and refrigeration technician for the Veterans Administration in Alexandria, Mr. Byrd was a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church of West Monroe and a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Byrd was survived by his wife, Wilma Earline Byrd; son, Clifford E. Byrd and wife Sharan; daughters, Janice B. Brown and husband Larry, and Greta B. Russell and husband Johnny; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Johnny Byrd. Pallbearers will be Sonny Bumgardner, Henry Chriceol, Benson Hennon, Ned Newman, Ronald Renfrow, and Reuben Simmons. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2007, from 10:00AM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
