Funeral services Mrs. Dejuana “MeMe” McCaa Fontana, 60, of Monroe, are Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe with the Rev. Lisa Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Born March 1, 1953, in Monroe, LA, she passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Monroe. An administrative assistant at the Green Oaks Detention Center, she was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. and Mittie McCaa; a sister, Jeanette Walter; a niece, Paula McCaa; and her mother-in-law, Rose C. Fontana. She is survived by her husband, John Fontana; daughter, Christie Gross and husband, Tony; stepdaughter, Bambie Fontana; grandson, Grant Dison; granddaughter, Presley Polasek; sister, Doretha Beaver and husband, C.L.; brother, Oakland McCaa, Jr. and wife, Judy; brother-in-law, Cliff Walter; and nieces and nephews Karen and Phillip Thomas, Charles and Shannon Beaver, Chris and Christi Beaver, Pam and Jimmy Parris, and Oakland McCaa, III. Active pallbearers include Charles and Chris Beaver, Oakland McCaa, III; Jeff Dison, and Adam and Hunter Abercrombie. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Parris and Mike Miletello. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Dejuana “MeMe” Fontana. Visitation is Monday evening, December 2, 2013, at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe from 5:00PM til 7:00PM.
