Graveside service for Dee Kendall, age 78, of Shreveport, LA (formerly of Ruston) will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, LA.  Officiating the service will be Rev. Doug de Graffenried under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

A visitation will be prior to the service at 2:30P.M. Sunday at Greenwood Cemetery for family and friends.

Dee was born June 1, 1946, in Eugene, OR and passed away March 13, 2025, in Shreveport, LA.  She was a former member of Trinity Methodist Church in Ruston and a member of The First Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA.  Dee was a graduate of Louisiana Tech and a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Ruston Chapter. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Ben (Buddy) Kendall, Jr. and Marie Blackmon Kendall; and brother, John Ben Kendall, III.

Dee is survived by her sister, Marion Kendall Sims of Shreveport, LA; nieces and nephews; Paul Sims, Jr.; Robert P. Sims and wife Emma; Kami Sims Lincoln and husband Chris; Kevin V. Sims wife Allison; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made Trinity Methodist Church in Ruston and First Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA.
