Funeral services for David F. Harbor, 62 of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2011 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Eddy Shoemaker will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Harbor was born February 21, 1949 in Monroe, LA and passed away March 1, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was a lifetime welder by trade. David traveled the country welding and pipefitting and worked using his welding skills until 2002 when he became disabled. He was an active member of the Local 659 even throughout his illness. Through out the years David has enjoyed using his welding talents to create and build many items the family still enjoys today. He loved his kids dearly and loved teasing and picking with Pam. Taking Shelby fishing and talking with Brandon about their favorite pastime, old cars and trucks. David was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Evelyn Carroll, a brother, Raymond Harbor and his mother-in-law, Janie Moss. David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Katherine Harbor, daughter, Pam Harbor Mondey and husband Tim, son, Brandon Harbor and wife Kelly, “one and only” grandson, Shelby Lane Raney; 2 granddaughters, Krystin Swanner and Bailey Mondey; brother, Ray Harbor; father-in-law, Edgar Moss; 2 brother-in-laws, John Moss and Mike Moss and wife Verna; sister-in-law, Sharon Hardwick and husband Les. Pallbearers will be, John Moss, Mike Moss, Les Hardwick, Tommy Cash, Wendell Hodge and Nathan Copeland. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
