Although I am sad for the loss of a great uncle, I am appreciative of the example that Uncle David set for me. As a child my brother and I were able to spend time at their home during one summer (1973). Uncle David and Aunt Lottie showed us a great time as well as a great example on how to be married for 69 years. Uncle David helped us dig up worms so Gary could take us fishing. We enjoyed fresh tomatoes from his garden and made great memories that summer. Uncle David is gone from this earth but the impression that he has left on me will live forever. Bill Bryan

I was privileged to be able to get to know Lottie and David from their volunteer work at Glenwood Regional Medical Center! David always had a smile on his face! They both gave selflessly of their time to volunteer. They were the dynamic duo. David was kind, giving, always happy, inquisitive to how he could help and give back! Prayers for all the family and for God’s comfort, strength and hope to face each new day!

How in the world did Buddy put up with all of us as kids. We were constantly together and raising a ruckus. But he and Lottie were the most patient people. He always had a smile and a good word for all. He loved people and people loved him. He loved Lottie with all his heart and taking care of her was one of the last things he did. I will miss him and know that one day we will all be together in God's Heaven. He touched so many lives in a positive way. I love you all.
Nancy Stewart left a message on February 10, 2021:
My deepest condolences for all of you. David was so special and a wonderful Christian man. He loved chocolate pies and I made him several, as did Ms. Lottie. He didn't care, he would eat all of them. My thoughts and prayers are with all you that you find peace knowing that Mr. David is with our Lord and Savior. May God bless you and give you strength.

Billy LaValle left a message on February 8, 2021:
David Bryan was one of the nicest human beings that God ever put on this earth. He not only was a fine Christian but he lived his faith every day. First met David when we both worked at Central Bank. Later, when I was down and out and had left Central Bank, David was very instrumental in getting me hired at FNB. I was pretty damaged goods at the time but he lifted me up. I owed David a lot and I sincerely hope that he knew that I deeply appreciated his friendship and caring, despite things that transpired that he was a party to. Go rest high on that Mountain, your work on earth is done, David. You have touched the hearts of many along the way with your many kindnesses.
