Memorial services for Darrell Dennis will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Highland Baptist Church, West Monroe with Bro. Skip Dean officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church under the care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Darrell Dennis was born February 1, 1938 in Eldorado, Arkansas and passed away February 17, 2024 in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Emma Dennis and his twin brother, Jarrell Dennis. Darrell was a member of Highland Baptist Church West Monroe. He worked for A&E Grocery Store and then in later years he worked for Brookshire’s Grocery Store. In Darrell’s younger years he enjoyed fishing, ping-pong and playing pool. He competed in horseshoe tournaments and excelled in many of them. Later in life Darrell participated in the Senior Olympics. He and Sue enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center in West Monroe, where they played Dominoes with many friends. Unknown to many was the fact that Darrell was quite the artist. He had drawn and painted pictures that he shared with family. Darrell enjoyed spending time with his family and they with him. His laughter and good nature will be missed.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Sara Sue Herrington Dennis; son, Donald Glen “Donnie” Dennis.
