Visitation for Mr. Dallas Wayne Webb, 62, of Monroe, LA will be 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM Friday, November 9, 2007, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Jesus The Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Joe Puthuppally of St. Mathew Catholic Church officiating with Dr. Whit Holmes of Parkview Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Dallas was born March 2nd, 1945 in Alexandria, LA and passed away Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX following an extensive battle with melanoma, one of the most aggressive cancers known. Dallas was a graduate of Villanova University of PA, where he played Defensive End on the Football Team. He worked for and retired from the Cigna Corporation in Hartford, CT. Wayne, as his parents and wife called him, was a gentle and caring husband, father, and son who loved Jesus. He had a beautiful sense of humor that underlined his love of life. His lifelong motto is “Never Quit”. Left behind to mourn his passing are his loving wife, Patricia, who never left his side and fought with him through his battle, his son, Dallas Jason Webb, his daughter, Marilee Webb, his loving parents, Dallas and Annabelle Webb, his two brothers, Wyatt Webb M.D. and his wife Allison, and Gene Webb, along with several nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers will be: Wyatt Webb M.D., Gene Webb, Greg Prosak, Brian Fitzpatrick, John Wilson, and Joseph McErlane. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dallas Webb to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Hospital, Melanoma Division, P.O. I was saddened to hear of Dallas's death as last I heard he was progressing well. I knew him for many years at CIGNA and, though our contacts were occasional, I now recall most his warm smile, kind words, and gentlemanly nature. He was a good man and will be missed. Dear Pat and family I am so very sad over your lost of a great man. He gave much to me during the NEGP days and I will always be thankful that I had a chance to know him and his beautiful family. As Robbie mentioned Dallas had lots to share and sometimes he expected the favor returned, usually in the form of food. "Are you going to finish that?" Pat, Karen and I were deeply saddened to hear of Dallas' death. We have only the fondest memories of working and playing with Dallas during our years in CIGNA Pension. We will remember always a true gentleman and a gentle man. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Mike and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Webb. Our daughter Michelle has spoke about the Webb family so often, we feel as though we know the family. Pat, Jason, Marilee, it is hard to believe Dallas has moved on. Anyone who knew Dallas can only smile when you mention his name.. He was genuine and alway wanted to help you out. I feel blessed to have known him through the NEGP office at CIGNA and as a friend. I know he certainly was a teacher by heart, because anyone who knew Dallas learned all the time! Pat, Jason & Marilee, My heart aches for you and your loved ones. For so many of us, Dallas was bigger than life and the joy his presence brought us will be his legacy and gift. I can still hear his heavy foot steps coming down the hall as he strolled towards his office in Metro. Pat and family, I spent many precious moments and stories working with Dallas at the NE group pension office at CIGNA. He was a wonderful colleague and his presence defined our office in many ways. My heart goes out to you, Pat, and your children. I have so many fond memories of Dallas and so many "Dallas stories" in my heart from all those wonderful years of working with him at NEGP. Last Feb. when Lisa Rarus and Susan Murphy Gummow and families came to ski with us we sat around reminiscing and, sure enough, Dallas came up in our conversation.
