Graveside services for Curtis Wamble of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Curtis was born October 25, 1926 in Memphis, Tennessee and passed away August 30, 2023 in West Monroe. He served in the United States Army during World War II and retired as a lock and dam equipment mechanic leader with the Army Corps of Engineer and he loved to farm. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Mary Pearl Wamble; parents Roy and Caroline Wamble; son James Curtis Wamble; daughter Melba Lynn Smith Brooks and great-granddaughter Summer Wamble; sister Bertha Jean Adams.
Curtis is survived by his granddaughters; LeAnne Smith and Frances Sturdivant (Jeff); grandsons Michael Wamble (Jayme), James Smith Jr.(Tina) and Paul Wamble; 15 great- grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
