Funeral services for Mr. Corlis Byron Feazel, 92, will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 20, 2010, at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA with Rev Charles Dupree and Rev. Roger Haney officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Feazel was born April 15, 1918, in Union Parish to Douglas and Bessie Ward Feazel. He passed away on August 17, 2010 in West Monroe. Mr. Feazel was member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a retired plumbing contractor. Mr. Feazel was an avid duck and deer hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered as a very skilled bowhunter. He had a passion for restoring antique cars and he and his wife traveled a many a mile showing them. Mr. Feazel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eloise Griggs Feazel; two sisters, Mae Hart and Eva Mayo; and a brother, Charles Feazel. He is survived by son, Barry Feazel; daughter, Janice Downey and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Glenn Feazel and wife, Candace Ivey, Lauren Feazel Losh and husband, Dave, Justin Heck and wife, Laura Beth, and Garrett Heck; great-grandchildren, Rachel Beth Losh and Luke Michael Heck; brothers, Kerlin and Melvin Bud Feazel; and sister, Sally Iverson. Pallbearers will be Glenn Feazel, Wayne Downey, Justin Heck, Garrett Heck, Canoy Mayo and Leroy Mayo. Honorary Pallbearers will be the fellow deacon body at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and his sitter Betty Diffey for their care during Mr. Feazel's time of need. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 19th at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.
