Corey Lucas Traylor was born on April 15, 2008 to his surviving and loving parents, Janna and
Robert Traylor and was their “Texas-born, blue-eyed anomaly.” He is survived by his adorable
sister, Lydia, and a host of family relatives, friends who are like family, and others too numerous
to mention here. The family is holding a memorial in Ruston, Louisiana to allow for all of their
Southern family and friends to pay respects to Luke and his immediate family.
Luke died unexpectedly on December 27, 2023, in Slinger, WI. He should be remembered for
many wonderful things; some to include here are his beautiful smile, compassion for others,
unconditional loyalty to friends, a love and affinity for sports, cerebral pursuits (debate was a
specialty, even if he agreed with his opponent), a love for music (student of the piano), and lofty
ambitions. There is so much more to his story.
A celebration of life will be held on January 20, 2024, with visitation from 11 AM – 1:30 PM
followed by a memorial service at 2 PM; officiated by the Reverend Doug De Graffenried of
Trinity Methodist Church. These services will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 209 North
Bonner Street, Ruston, LA, 71270, and are open to all who wish to offer proper condolences in
situations like this.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) or St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
