David Whitlock (Diann) left a message on January 8, 2021:
Being the next door neighbor I can remember the good times playing and terrorizing the kids in the neighborhood but there was always a closer connection to the kids next door....Pete, Pam, Sue, Glenda, and Little Ann, being the closest to my age. Pete, Sue and Pam were almost out of the house when I was growing up. Mr and Mrs. Grower were the best Christian parents and gave everything to provide for them. Back then, it was common to borrow an egg or cup of sugar to make that recipe of the day and was recipricated. The Growers were the best next door neighbors you could want and I miss Little Ann and now Sue. God bless this family as they deal with their loss and love from Diann and I.

I can't remember a time when I didn't know Sue. When we were babies, the Growers lived around the corner from us, our mothers would get together, putting Sue and me on a guilt on the floor where we played while they visited. Then we went to the same elementary school and high school. After we were both married with children, we ended up living in the same apartment complex, and often got together at night to play Charades and other games. Sue was always the life of any party. As we stopped taking the local newspaper, I learned of her passing late, and was both shocked and saddened. Please know that all of you--her children, siblings, and other family members are in our prayers at the time of loss. Sincerely, Juliana (Hales) Kemp & Robert Kemp
