Funeral services for Elizabeth Hollis will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, November 17, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Don Delukie officiating and Jim Davis. Interment will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Connie Elizabeth Ware Hollis was born to Scott and Connie Poole Ware in Monroe, Louisiana May 27, 1928. In 1934 they moved to El Dorado, AR. Elizabeth graduated from El Dorado High School with honors in 1946. She attended Harding University being elected “Most Favorite Girl” her freshman year. She returned home to El Dorado working as a dental assistant. Elizabeth met and married Harvil W Hollis of Spearsville, La. They shared 53 precious years together. They moved to West Monroe where they made their home for 50 years.

Elizabeth and Harvil worshipped at Slack Street Church of Christ, Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ, and in their final years at Jackson Street Church of Christ. Elizabeth often spoke of how God had richly blessed her with four wonderful children, Trudie, Becky, Susie and Scott. One of her dearest friends for over sixty years was Pat Starling, a faithful sister in Christ.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harvil Hollis, parents,  Scott and Connie Ware, step-mother, Maud Ware, two brothers, Dr. Leon (Cleo) Ware, Walter (Auneta) Ware and two sons in law, Dan Harkness and Charles McGough.

Leaving to cherish her memories are Trudie Harkness (EK Koserog), West Monroe, Becky Purdy, Dallas TX, Susie McGough, West Monroe Scott Hollis, West Monroe,  one granddaughter: Laura Harkness, Boulder, CO,  two grandsons, Alan Townsend, Rayville, Jeremy (Holly) Townsend, West Monroe,  three great- grandchildren, Alex(Catcher), Sarrah, Troy, Drew, Brendan, and Asa.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Townsend, Alan Townsend, Troy Townsend, Terry Ware, Catcher Calhoun and Steve Smith.
