As a young child I grew up with Emily Bucks granddaughter, I was only about 12 or 13 years old when Buck seen me have have a bike reck across from his house and Buck and Elain came running to help me! Seeing that I was looking for aluminum cans. So from that day he pulled me off the street and put me to work after school and weekends until I turned 18 and found my first big job at coke cola Bottling company. From that day I met Buck and Elain they became my mom and dad because I really never had one .They saved up money I worked for and sent me to church camp and trips with the church. I called mom to say hi and that I loved them, i remember her telling me that Buck and her was very proud of me. That made my world hearing that from them . LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD . PS I wish I could have said GOODBYE AND THAT I LOVE HIM .LOVE YOU DAD.

What a special man. I think of him often - remembering a special day he and I shared long ago. He and Mom Elaine also hold special places in the hearts of my children. Love and prayers to all of the Hobgood family.

I can just close my eyes and see Buck coming in my shop to get his guns repaired. What a nice man. Always the gentleman. When my wife asked me if I could refinish her grandfather's table, I said maybe I can, but not like Buck can. We still have that table and it looks as great as it did the day we picked it up from him 25 years ago. I think of him every time I walk by that table. What a great guy. If they have hunting in Heaven, Buck will be leading the way. Steve Brooks

To Mr. Buck's family, My name is Terri and I am Sonny Burney's grandaughter. I went to Mr. Buck's shop with my grandfather many times as a child to either deliver a broken piece of furniture or pick up a repaired piece. My grandfather never sent back new furniture because it was messed up. He'd always say, "Just take it to Buck. It will look better than new." I wanted to send my condolences for the loss of such a wonderful man. I will be holding your entire family up to the Lord in prayer.
