Funeral services for Colby Lann Wixson, age 20, of Ruston will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, La. Rev. Dale Oden will be officiating with burial to follow in the Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, La. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, La. Colby was born in Natchez, Mississippi on June 15, 1986 and passed away in Ruston on September 23, 2006 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Colby was a 2004 graduate of Ruston High School and attended Louisiana Tech University. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and attended Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents: Laura Scriber and husband, Mike; brother: Scott Scriber; grandparents: Donald and Mary K. Gregory; George and LouAnn Scriber; great grandmother: Ima Holmes; Great Aunt and Uncle: Myrtis and Virgil Orr; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. Pallbearers will be: Greg Gregory, Tim Gregory, Darryl Gregory, Chad Gregory, Walter Scriber, and Keith Scriber. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Scriber Hunting Club. Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2006 from 5 8 PM at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston. Planned memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children≠s Home 7200 Desiard Street Monroe, La. 71203.
