Chris Tubbs was a really great guy. During on of his final jobs he worked for a company that was a part of my project. Chris was a really hard working person and he did an awesome job at his position. I was very sand and surprise to hear that he passed shortly after leaving. I have nothing but good memories of Chris. Wish his family and friends all the best.

I met Chris the summer of ’99 working at Bank One. We’d talk and whatnot but weren’t that close initially. However, I ran into him while standing in line to go into a concert at Malibu Alley in Shreveport later that fall. After that moment, we became really close. He was a great friend. We went to tons of shows together in Dallas, New Orleans, Houston, Shreveport, and Little Rock. He was constantly burning me cd’s of all the latest bands he was into. Music made Chris’ world go ‘round. At work, Chris always had headphones in his ears. He was always jamming music. We’d get together often and play guitar. I had a baby in 2006 and that started our drift apart. A couple years later I ended up in East Texas and we completely lost touch. He has been on my mind a lot over the last year or two and I had planned on trying to reconnect with Chris. There’s so much more I wish I could have said to him. He was 10 years older than me and I looked up to him like an older brother. He was a great person and had a big heart. My heart goes out to all his family and friends, but especially his mother and sister. I love you, Chris. Until we meet again.
