Dear Bankston Family, I would like to say how deeply sorry I am for the loss of Chris. I didnâÄôt personally know him, but my heart goes out to your family in this time of tragedy. When reading his obituary my heart hurt for his mother, because I too have experienced the loss of a child who would now have been 21 years old if she had lived. At that time some who tried to comfort me said death is a natural part of life, or that God wanted another little angel in heaven, so he took my Ashley to be with him. This only left me more puzzled, because I had always read in the Bible that God is a God of love, not a cruel God who would take the first born child from a new mother. This led me to look deeper into the Bible to understand why it was that my precious child died. What I learned is that death, in fact, is NOT a natural part of life. The Bible states at 1 Cor. 15:26 that death is an enemy. It also states that soon death will be done away with forever. This is found at Isa. 25:8, and my personal favorite scripture of the Bible at Rev. 21:3, 4 where it says 3 âÄúWith that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: âÄúLook! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.âÄù I would love to share more of the scriptures I found comforting to me in my time of sorrow; I know they will help you in yours as well. Please contact me at this email address lmmall@aol.com. My deepest apologies for your loss Mrs Bankston, and to his whole family. Sincerely, Michelle Mall

I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was a great friend and a good guy. We played many shows together and he was very good drummer. We all will miss seeing him at the music venues around town. It's hard to believe someone so full of life is gone at such a young age. Again sorry for your loss and my prayers are with your family.

I am so shocked by this, I had to see it on the news. My mother & I worked w/ Chris at Direct TV when he was in sales. He was a wonderful guy who was so funny & full of life, so his death comes as a shock to me. He will be dearly missed.

I send my deepest condolences to the family. Chris was a truly loved guy. He had such a sweet nature. When I used to sing with Kevin and the bad on Wednesdays, he tried to teach me to play the bongos. I was absolutely terrible at it. He was patient and sweet about it and told me to keep at it. He had a great heart and a great smile.

I am saddened deeply over the loss of this young man. He and my son were on the drumline together at Ouachita Parish High School. I pray that his family will find peace through this tragic event and will turn to the Lord for strength and guidance. Chris was a well-mannered young man and was always smiling when i talked to him. I pray one day I will see him again in heaven.
