Funeral services for Charles Estes will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Grace Apostolic Church, Eros, LA with Bro. Ben Petrella officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until service time at the church under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Charles was born August 12, 1929 in Shreveport, LA and passed away November 13, 2023 in Jonesboro, LA. He loved and served the Lord, and loved his recent discovery of his biological family. Charles loved deer hunting and his homemade engineering designs. He was preceded in death by his children Bettie Walters and Charles D. “Buddy” Estes; his birth mother Delia Lowery Bray; parents Brosher and Marie Estes.

Charles is survived by  his devoted and loving wife of 27 years Loretha Copeland Estes; step-daughter Trenise Buxton and husband Carroll; grandchildren Stephanie, James, Angie, Travis, David and Casey; step-granddaughter Brandi; 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-great grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; recently discovered biological Scallion family; cousins, Cindy, Peggy, Jill, Daniel and Perry; special friend and best buddy of 72 years Freddie Browder.
