Funeral services for Mr. Charles O. ?Charlie? Hayton, 84, of West Monroe, will be on Tuesday, March 18th, 2008, at 10:00AM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Carlos Lane Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery in Lincoln Parish under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Born November 12th, 1923, in Bienville, LA, he passed away on Saturday, March 15th, 2008, in West Monroe. Charlie was a son of the late Fred and Marteel Poland Hayton and a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. A well-known building contractor, he was a long-time member of the Buford Highway Baptist Church in Doraville, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Hayton, Jr.Survivors include his beloved wife, Pat; 4 daughters, Charlene Copeland, Karen White, Jeanie Edge, and Kathy Renfrow; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 nieces and nephews; a special ?friend/daughter? Pat Swillie.Visitation will be Monday evening, March 17th, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
