Charles Hudson Avery Kilpatrick Funeral Home Run Date: Funeral services for Charles Hudson Avery, age 90, from Dubach, LA. will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 26, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Dubach, LA. Officiating will be Rev. George Meadows, Rev. Dayton Doughty, Rev. Barry Joyner and Rev. Jeremy Foster. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach LA. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mr. Avery was born February 9, 1917 to Alma Stokes Avery and Charles Albert Avery in Dubach, LA. and passed away May 24, 2007 at Health South Specialty Hospital n Ruston, LA. Charles graduated from Dubach High School in 1936 and went to work for the Dubach Post Office in 1937. He worked at the Post Office for 43 years. Hudson also served in the United States Army in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Avery was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Dubach where he served as a Deacon for over 55 years, as well as many other church leadership positions throughout his life. Hudson was a wonderful loving husband, dad, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents a sister: Etoila Avery and a brother, Clarence Avery. Mr. Avery is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Eva Payne daughter: Rene Reynolds and husband Kenny; son: Victor and wife Tejo and his grandchildren Sawyer and Jon Lee Avery all of Dubach. He is also survived by one brother Ray and wife Marie of San Antonio Texas. Pallbearers will be Robbie Roberson, Randy Roberson, Tommy Roberson, Steve Beaird, Milton Roberts, and Phillip Flurry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of the First Baptist Church and the Men≠s Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M Friday May 25, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Dubach.
