Billy Stanley left a message on June 17, 2020:
Chad was as kind and considerate of a person as one could hope to meet. Still waters ran deep in him. He had as complex a high school life as one could have and he carried himself with the dignity of a man surrounded by the children around him, yes folks me and many others were childlike well past the time of cuteness. Chad though did his thang and carried on as if he were going through teenage years just like the rest of us. Butperi0odically in class he would lookup and query the teacher be it Mr. Stringer or Mrs Harris with a question that would make the teacher and us as well go 'Hmm, didn't think of that.' He made me think more than once and I cursed him for it as it cut into my naptime, thinking about the world through his eyes. The world is a lesser place without him in it. I grieve for those he left behind because he is not someone to know and dismiss as the world goes on. To his family I give my deepest sympathies because in the back of my mind I thought I might see him once again, and those that expected him there day in and day out this must be devastating. Because Chad He always showed up and gave his best.

I was greatly saddened to learn of Chad’s sudden passing. I worked with Chad at the Division State Audit, within the Office of the Comptroller for the state of Tennessee. Chad was a loyal and true friend and committed auditor. He had a strong work ethic and always strove to work hard. He made the audit work environment more pleasant for those around him while maintaining high professional standards. I always enjoyed hearing him speak with great pride of his daughter, Megan, and son, Tylore. He loved and was immensely proud of his children. He loved to show us all the latest photos of his grandsons and tell us of how fast they were growing. I will miss my friend Chad, his can-go attitude, and his incessant wellspring of contagious enthusiasm and optimism.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Chad. He was a wonderful man and I got to know him well in my role as the Senior Vice Chancellor /CFO of the UT Health Science Center. We worked together for several years and I always enjoyed talking with him about life. As it turned out, he also knew my son while he was a student at UT Knoxville and worked at the gym on campus. I was there once working out with my and when we both went up to say 'hi' we all three were surprised on the connection. My best to your entire family. Remember all the good times. Sincerely, Tony Ferrara

I am so sorry for your loss. A couple of years ago I heard that there was an auditor from North Louisiana in the building where I work at the University of Tennessee. I met Chad and we became friends despite the fact that he was a Rebel and I was a Bearcat. His family was his world. He will be missed.
