Catherine Simmons Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Simmons, age 78, of Ruston formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M Thursday October 11, 2007 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mike Holloway. Graveside services to be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday at Natchez Cemetery in Natchez, MS under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Simmons was born in Port Gibson, MS on March 20, 1929 and passed away in Ruston, LA on October 9, 2007. Mrs. Simmons was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia and for the past few years attended Cook Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Ellzey P.E. Simmons who passed away in 2003. She is survived by children: Maru Henry of Downsville, and Ellzey Simmons Jr. of Ruston; grandchildren: Cindy Hebert of Downsville, Keith Henry of Denham Springs, Michael Henry of Shreveport, Cullen Simmons and April Simmons of Ruston; great grandchildren: Garrett Hebert, Pepper Hebert and Jake Simmons. Visitation will be Wednesday October 10, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. On line condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com

They were a true blessing to a pastor and wife as they always supported their church in Vidalia, and the pastor, and made occasions to be with us, pray with us and share their joys and prayer requests with us. How special that Catherine could be near her larger family after Elizey's death. I will remember you in prayer these next days, and wish I could be present at the services.
