Casey Jo Cruz passed away on July 5, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Casey was born April 9,1951 in Talehina, Oklahoma. She was struck with Polio at the age of 2. Yet, despite her disability she raised 3 children as a single mother and worked to support her family. Casey worked at the CDC in Atlanta and then later worked for Equifax for many years. She was an avid member of the church, loved the lord, and attended art school and had a lifelong love of arts and crafts. She loved her family above all! She was preceded in death by parents, Casey Wesley and Jimmie Belle Smith; siblings, Ward Prater and Jimmie Prater; grandchildren, Cassandra Wesley and Rodney Angel Cruz
Casey is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynn Waldemayer and son-in-law, Winston Waldemayer III; sons, Miguel Cruz, and Rapheal Cruz; grandchildren, Braelen and Josh Waldemayer, Cattaleya and Miguel Cruz III; and many other cherished family and friends.
