Funeral services for Carolyn Read Belk will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Douglas LeBrun and Pastor Gary Sapp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens.
Carolyn was born on June 10, 1949 in West Monroe, LA and passed away on August 5, 2022 in West Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Elaine Read; and her brother, Bob Read.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Belk; daughter, Stacie Dickerson Watts (Joe); son, Jason Belk (PJ); grandchildren, Clay Watts, Caleb Watts, Carson Watts, Aiden Belk, Elijah Belk, Rylee Belk, and Seth Belk; sisters, Charlotte Burke (Dennis), and Annie Parker; brother, Jerry Read; special nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was retired from Graphic Packaging after 33 years of service, working in the payroll department. She was a member of Life Church of West Monroe. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband James, her daughter Stacie, her 7 grandchildren and her huge extended family. She was always ready for a lunch or just hanging out with Clay, Caleb and Carson.
Serving as pallbearers are Clay Watts, Caleb Watts, Carson Watts, Scott Brown, Adam Douglass, and Toby Read. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Brown, David Brown, and Dakota Green.
