Carolyn was born on June 17, 1948, and passed away on February 2, 2024. She married David Lamb, her lifelong partner, at the age of 15. Carolyn became a mother at age 16. A woman full of grit, with a tenacious spirit, she then went on to earn her nursing degree and became a registered nurse. Becoming a nurse was one of her proudest achievements. Carolyn loved caring for her patients, had a deep love for all animals, and had a green thumb that allowed her to grow plants of all sorts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Mary Holley; and her sisters, Meredith and Rita.
Her spirit lives on in her surviving family members: her partner, David Lamb; sister, Annie Catlin and husband Clif; son, Michael Lamb and wife Christy; daughter, Tammy Phillips; grandchildren, Hillary Dupree and husband O’Brian, Holly Bethea and husband Damien, Amanda Lowe and husband Jarred, Bryan Phillips, Colby Phillips and wife Erin, Dylan Phillips and wife Alyssa; many beloved great-grandchildren and other cherished family and friends.
