Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Jane Chatham will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 2024, at Concord Cemetery in Chatham, La.  A visitation will be held prior to service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home at 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe.

Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mrs. Chatham was born on November 7, 1953, in Monroe, LA and passed away on January 15, 2024. She was the most loving and genuine person in the world.  If she loved you, she loved you with every fiber of her being. She loved the Lord and would seek his guidance and pray diligently for everyone with a need. Her love for crafting passed on to her daughters. She was always thinking of new things to try from journaling, to stamping, to dying papers.

She spent many years sewing keepsakes and making beautiful creations.  She loved her family fiercely and they are all her legacy. She always said she did not have a son in law, she had a son named Heath. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She said some of the best times of her life were when she kept her grandsons when they were little.

Carolyn has now been reunited with her beloved husband of 39 years, Dennis Chatham.

She is survived by her daughters, Candie Chatham, Nickie Crowe and her husband, Heath; grandsons, Chandler Crowe and his wife, Haley, Bailey Crowe; great grandson, Ryder Crowe and one on the way, Creeden Crowe; her mother, Edna Glover; her sisters, Lois McCarty and her husband, Terry, Lisa McBride and her husband, John; brother in law, Lenard Chatham and his wife, Martha; sisters in law, Beth Willhite and her husband, Alton, Felicia Chatham; and numerous nieces,  nephews and other family members.
