A Memorial Service for Camryn Marcella Harness, age 20, a student at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, TX 76248.On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, Camryn Marcella Harness, an incredible and beautiful young woman, passed away at the age of 20. Camryn was born on July 24, 1999 in Plano, Texas to Andrea Rys and Joe Harness. She was a Junior at Louisiana Tech and a devoted scholar as evidenced by her perpetual inclusion on the Dean list as she pursued her degree in Elementary Education. Camryn was also a devoted sister of the Beta Psi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, serving as Vice President of Finance. Camryn devotion to Alpha Chi Omega was recognized with an appointment by the national chapter to serve on the 2019 Scarlett Ribbon Leadership Council.Camryn was a devoted Bulldog and served as a Student Recruiter. During her time giving campus tours as a Student Recruiter she became quite skilled at walking backwards and talking at the same time learning the hard way after a couple of spills which even she had to admit were hilarious to behold. Camryn was simply incredible and no words can come close to conveying that. It seems like she entered this world with a fully formed personality and even more fully formed opinions which she was not shy about sharing. Camryn continues to help others as a organ and tissue donor.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John David Harness II and her most-loved puppy Ed.Camryn is survived by her mother, Andrea Rys (David) of North Richland Hills, TX and her father, Joe Harness (Allyson) of Keller, TX; sister, Riley Harness and brother, Major Harness both of Keller, TX; step-siblings: Gillian Rys of North Richland Hills, TX; Tyler Rys (Idalia) of Fort Worth, TX; Brittany Reed of Fort Worth, TX; Daniel Reed (Adrianna) of Fort Worth, TX; paternal grandmother, Laurie Harness of Plano, TX; maternal grandparents, Tom and Karen Sink of Cedar Falls, IA; step grandparents, Frank and Carole Rys of Monson, MA; Brant and Lori Patton of Easley, SC; Deborah Timmons of Richmond, VA; best friend and sorority Big Sister Lauren Harrell of Ruston, LA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of friends.Memorials may be made through the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation: https://give.alphachiomega.org/Camryn or if preferred, checks may be mailed to: Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, P.O. I remember meeting Camryn for the first time, as a kindergartner in our Daisy Troop. This little girl with a BIG personality! Her humor and laughter were contagious. So many memories from her earlier years. She grew into such a beautiful young woman. My prayers go out to your family for strength, comfort and healing. Rest in peace sweet Camryn.

When it says put a memory i just get so many flashbacks so i don‚Äôt really know where to start. We have so many memories but my favorite one is meeting you in 5th grade and you being my only friend and i was happy with having you as my one and only best friend. Your home was my second home and i will never forget all the crazy things we did as kids. Cam grew up to be such a smart and beautiful woman. Even though Camryn and i weren‚Äôt as close as we use to be i still tried to keep in touch as much as i could. Your smile was so big and bright and you will truly be missed. I love you!
