Funeral services for Bobby Dean Jones, 79, of Jonesboro, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2021, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Bro. Jeff Stroud and Bro. Gary Phillips will officiate. Interment will be at the Edmonds-Gayla-Traina Memorial Cemetery in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.

He was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana, November 19, 1941, and passed away November 9, 2021, in Jonesboro, Louisiana.  Bobby served his country in the US Air Force and was a dedicated father, “Papaw”, and friend. He enjoyed playing and watching football, but most of all was his love for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two daughters; Renee Kelly (Todd), and Dena Jones Evans both of Weston, Louisiana; grandchildren, Bryan Greer (Hannah) of Weston, Louisiana, Caleb Greer (Josie) of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Paige Kelly of Weston, Louisiana, Chelsie Burns (Jared) of Quitman, Louisiana, Matt Poole of Jonesboro, Louisiana, and Miranda Atkins (Parker) of Ruston, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Mason Greer, Hazel Grace Greer, Everleigh Rose Greer, The Late Amelia Kaye Greer, Ella Jo Greer, Jaleigh Burns, Faith Burns, and Paisley Poole.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Greer, Caleb Greer, Todd Kelly, Matt Poole, Jared Burns, and Parker Atkins.
