Please accept my deepest sympathy to the Surratt Family and the loss of Miss Billye. Meeting her through Dennis allowed me the opportunity to experience her selfless willingness to help my Family many years ago, after my mother had surgery. Now, I Thank her!

I am Lorene (Nolan) Townsend’s daughter. I am so sorry for your loss of one of my mother’s great friends. They grew up together & played basketball together. They always talked about the fun times they had. Ms. Billie visited mother quite often. May God give you peace within. My mother passed away this past Jan .28. They are bouncing that basketball around together again. ?
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Aunt Billye, a wonderful lady, full of life, vim and vinegar. There was nothing she couldn't or wouldn't try to do. I spent one summer in the early 60"s -in between colleges- with her and her family. I got to see first hand what her standards were and what was expected of me. A competitor to the end. As as been written before, she was a participant in the Senior Olympics and competed well. One brief story had her playing against a touch competitor . Aunt Billye told me in a conversation later that she went "slack" on her opponent and looked up to find out she was behind in the score. She said I better get going and managed to "trounce her opponent (her words)" on the way to victory. Now Aunt Billye is going home. She will be missed but not forgotten. We love you Aunt Billye. Your Nephew Jerry Hollis

To the entire Surratt Family. Please accept my deepest condolences for loss of your mom. Know what it feels like to lose a mother and my heart goes out to each and everyone of you. Hold the memories of your mom close to you and each and every day she will put a smile on your face for being your mom. Love the way she used to come to our games and root for us every time. She was truly a TIGER at heart. Take care and please let me know if there is anything I can do for your family.
