Bernice, Louisiana Billy Doyle Big Daddy Ferguson, age 82, of Bernice, LA passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Bernice, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the church. The burial will be at the Bernice City Cemetery. Mr. Ferguson was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Bernice. You could always find Billy sitting on his front porch overlooking the #4 green at Meadowlake Golf Course. He lived by his motto: If you cant run with the big dogs, then stay on the porch.  He is survived by two sons: Darrell Ferguson and wife Sandy, of West Monroe, LA; and Dennis Ferguson and wife Sandy, of Junction City, AR; Grandchildren: Nicole, Ferguson, Megan Burk and husband Josh; and Jarod Brantley and wife Melissa; and Clay Ferguson. Great grandsons: Brock, Shelby, Ryder, Wesley, Preston, and Cooper. Brothers: Dr. Jerry Glynn Ferguson of Natchitoches, LA and Dr. John Hilton Ferguson of Shreveport LA. One sister, Barbara Ellen Lee, of Owenboro, KY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ferguson is preceded in death by his wife Jean Bennett Ferguson and a grandson, Jason Ferguson. Memorials may be made to Meadow Lake Golf Course in Bernice, LA or the First Baptist Church of Bernice, LA
