Funeral services for Billie Bostic, 84 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 5:30 PM, Monday, November 16, 2015 at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. David Poole, Virgil Harris and Bill Cotton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday November 17, 2015 at Kilpatrick Serenity Garden. Billie Cook Bostic was born in Eros Louisiana to Lloyd and Willie Mae Cook on June 20, 1933. She Graduated from Eros high school. She married George W Bostic Jr on October 29th, 1952. She was a graduate a Beauty School in Harrison AR and went on to start her own business in West Monroe, La. Although she loved the business of fixing hair , her passion soon became the work of the Lord. She was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1964 at The First United Pentecostal church of West Monroe which started a life long quest of working to spread the Gospel of good news. She touched many through her beauty shop and was faithful for many years to nursing home services at local nursing homes especially Ridgecrest in West Monroe. During these years she and George were very active in outreach ministries at Louisiana Training Institution for Boys, Wade Correctional Center and Angola State Penitentiary. Known simply to most as Sister Billie, she and dad went on to work as an assistant pastoral team for the Eros United Pentecostal church and Calhoun United Pentecostal church. In 1984 after receiving their ministerial credentials from the Assemblies of and the Lord Jesus Christ, Brother George and Sister Billie started a new work which is still thriving in Choudrant, La. now Pastored by Rob and Tina Wise. It would take too much space to write and in reality, only heaven can record the effect of their ministry over their years of dedicated and faithful service to the cause of Christ. Sister Billie was well revered throughout her circle of influence for her power and consistency in prayer and fasting and spiritual counsel. Surely her reward will be great and only heaven and eternity can accurately measure the magnitude of all who have been touched by the life of Sister Billie. If being kind, long suffering and compassionate would save souls Sister Billie would have reached thousands. In recent years Alzheimer's caused her mind to be cloudy and her physical body to weaken. Although this may have hindered her ministry in her latter years, she never lost her desire to pray nor the ease of her laughter. She was preceded in death by her Spouse. George W. Bostic Jr. Three sisters|: Marilyn Burnett of Richton , MS, Kitty Bea Finn of Monroe, LA. Marguareet ” Odie” Roberson of Columbus, IN. One brother L. M. Cook Jr, parents Lloyd M.
