Camille Adair left a message on August 3, 2022:
Dear Lynn, You may not remember me, Camille Camp Adair. Rita McLemore is my sister. Although we knew you and Bill only casually, my husband Lee Roy and I always admired Bill and felt like he was probably the best Clerk of Court Ouachita Parish ever had! I lost Lee to Covid and its complications last August. Bill was a pillar of our two communities and so well-respected as a Godly Christian man. I understand the grief you are feeling and pray the Lord will send you that supernatural peace that only believers can experience. You are in my prayers during these sad days. Camille Adair

Mr. Hodge was a very gracious Clerk of Court that allowed me to bring my Legal Secretary students to the Courthouse back in the early 90's to familiarize them with what the Clerk's office does for the community. He always spoke to each class, welcomed them to the Clerk's office and would sometimes even personally give them a tour. I am sure he will be fondly remembered by many of those ladies....I will certainly remember him that way!

Praying for Grace, Peace, and Strength for your family. May our LORD JESUS rain his Holy Sprit on your family. Mr. Hodge, was one of the best bosses anyone could have the privilege to work for. The citizens of Ouachita Parish were truly blessed to have him as Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court for so many years. He will be missed greatly.

My prayers and hear goes out to Mrs Lynn and the Hodge family. I remember when Mr Bill hired me 22 years ago to work for him at the clerks office. I was 15 minutes late for my interview because I was sitting at the wrong clerks office (monroe city). There was no position available but he hired me anyway!! Mr Bill was a great boss and leader! I will miss him dearly but I know I will see him again!! Again, my prayers are with you all?

Lynn and all of Bill's family: I am so sorry for your loss of Bill and I pray for comforting and consoling directly by the Holy Spirit and indirectly through the prayers and other outreach from so many folks that God has intertwined your lives with over the years. Lynn, we were blessed to be your neighbors for many years and I am truly saddened for your loss yet joy-filled for Bill's "gain" as God calls him to Eternal Life with Him, where there is the hope for being reunited for all of Eternity with our loved ones that go before us. May Jesus pour out His unsurpassed peace upon each of you; not the peace as the world gives, but the peace that flows only from Him.

Sending prayers of comfort for you all as you go through this season of transition. I had several occasions over the years to make Mr. Hodge's acquaintance. These occasions often were highlighted by our discussion of genealogical findings of our respective families, as both our family lines had several notable members from Union Parish, where I do reside. He was never dismissive of me, an outright stranger to him as we would enter those discussions. He was quite the historian on Ouachita Parish and the Monroe area in particular. I have not seen Mr. Hodge in several years. There's a verse in Philippians in which the Apostle Paul wrote, I thank my God in my every remembrance of you. Mr. Hodge was certainly one of those people to me. There are fewer more significant testimonies of an individual than for that recollection to bring a smile to the face of the bearer of the one remembering. Again, that was Bill Hodge. Thank you for allowing me to air my support to you, his family and good friends.
