Funeral services for Betty Ruth Taylor Ober, 89 of Bernice, will be at First Baptist Church in Bernice on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Michael McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at Bernice City Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.Betty was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bernice. Betty served as the church hostess for many years. She greatly enjoyed her family and friends, rose gardening, golfing and cooking. She was known for her gift of sewing. She was a member of the Bernice Garden club.Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Buford Taylor and Inez Butler Taylor, husband; Ed Ober. Left to cherish her memory, daughters; Cynthia (Cindy) Thomas of Bernice, Melissa (Missy) and husband Eddie Permenter of Arcadia; grandchildren: Chasten Veatch and husband Jeff of Ruston, Brent Ford and wife Jimmie of Shreveport, LA and Nick Summers of Boulder, CO and five great-grandchildren.Pallbearers are Brent Ford, Richard Jenkins, Ronnie Jenkins, Donny Lee, Nick Summers and Jeff Veatch.Visitation is Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 5:00-7:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Bernice.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
