Betty Jean Price Mabry Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Graveside services for Betty Jean Price Mabry, age 82, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Wilder Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dale Oden. Mrs. Mabry was born December 12, 1928 and passed away December 13, 2010. Mrs. Mabry lived her life for her family, sacrificing everything to help her children through the years. Until her youngest child was grown, she chose not to work outside the home. Then, Mom enjoyed the years she worked at the Hallmark Store where many remember her warm smile and willingness to help. The past two years she resided at assisted living facilities and made many new friends. When she was able, she loved attending the Pricilla Sunday School Class at Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Mabry, parents: William Travis Bunk Price and Cassie Elizabeth Dring Price She is survived by her children: Martha Jean Mabry Stinson and husband Tom, Donna Ruth Mabry Rainwater and husband Larry, Charles Richard “Rusty” Mabry and wife Danna, Mary Elizabeth “Mimi” Mabry and David Alan Mabry and wife Joni; grandchildren: Gregory Scott Rainwater and wife Cassidy, Cassie Elizabeth Stinson Harwell and husband Gary, Stacy Leanne Rainwater Miller and husband Brian, Andrew Thomas Stinson and wife Gentri, William Riley Mabry, Daniel Richard Mabry, Brenner Alan Mabry and Ryne Austin Mabry; great grandchildren: Joshua Lane Miller, Morgan Lindsay Fraser, Evelyn Colt Fraser, Peyton Eleanor Fraser and Gray Thomas Stinson; brother: Billy Jack Price and wife Jeannie; and sister-in-law: Katherine Mabry Charles. Honorary Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Benson Grigsby, Chip Furr and the staff of Northwood Medical Center, The Arbor and the Terrace administration and staff, Lincoln Kidney Center, Carroll Home Health, along with special sitter, Betty Brantley for all their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or the American Kidney Foundation. We were blessed to know Betty and her family is a beautiful reflection of her grace and character. Her daughter, Mimi, was nanny for our family for several years and reamins a life long friend and family member. Our world is left a better place for the presence of those like Betty.

To all the Mabry Family: Thanks so much for letting us have the priviledge of taking care of your mother during the past few months. She was such a joy even during all the treatments she endured. What a wonderful lady!!!! I am sorry that I didn't get to see you as I just read about it late Wednesday night. I pray that God will comfort you with the multitude of wonderful memories your familiy has of Miss Betty. I love you all.

You all know how much I loved your mom!! She was a GREAT asset to me at the Hallmark store. We shared many, many laughs and even a few tears!! She was a great lady and will be missed by many. I know that she is at peace and so relieved to have new kidneys!! Love, Pam

Mimi and Rusty, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was such a sweet lady and very gracious to me whenever I was in your home during our college years. In the 1980's my wife Brenda and I opened Lee's Hallmark Shoppe in Ruston. Betty was one of the original employees. She was a very trustworthy and efficient employee and was a great asset to the store. Donna, So sorry to hear of your Mom's death. Please accept my condolences. My Mom died in 2009 and it has been hard knowing she isn't here anymore, but it will get better through prayer and time.

Mrs. Donna and Stacy, I have such fond memories of your mom from Stacy's bridal showers. She was so sweet and such a genuine lady. I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you and your family.

I always loved talking to your mother. She always had some thing fun to say! We will remember your family in our prayers.
