Funeral services for Bettie Jean Tucker, 91, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, Louisiana. Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Bettie was born on December 17, 1931 in Bienville Parish and went to her eternal home on March 20, 2023. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and had a great love for Jesus and family. She loved whatever work she did and held jobs in real estate, insurance and as a beautician. She enjoyed cooking, reading, women’s college basketball and softball.
Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Tucker, Jr.; parents, George and Gladys Plunkett; and brother, C.B. Plunkett.
She is survived by her children, Billy W. Tucker (Brenda), Paula J. Welker, Joel K. Tucker (Dianne), Perry L. Tucker; 7 grandchildren, Priscilla Wolff (Todd), Jason Tucker (Jessica), Aliscia LeMoine (Billy), Allen Cannon, Tracey Brooks, Ashley Ware (Lance)and Jesse Tucker(Shelby); 17 great-grandchildren, Taylor Wolff, Ainsley Wolff, Bailey Tucker, Alyssa Tucker, Hope Tucker, Jasper LeMoine, Tucker LeMoine, Koda Tucker, Kyler Tucker, Danielle Brooks, Addie Moss, Jackson Ware, Emma Ware, Bryant Ware, Paige Nehring (Cody) Jacob Cannon, Troy Cannon (Amber)and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Lillie Nehring. Also, many nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends. Special friends include Faye Rogers, Jean Ursery, Johnny Ray and Shirley Lafitte.
Pallbearers will be Barney Tucker, Paul Tucker, Jason Tucker, Jesse Tucker, Allen Cannon and Todd Wolff. Honorary pallbearers will be John Arnold and Michael Roach.
