Funeral services for Bettie Louise Plumley will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at East Haven Church of God in Bastrop, LA with Rev. Kelvin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Reeks Cemetery on Prince Road in Pioneer, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Plumley was born on November 8, 1957 in Monroe, LA and passed away on September 6, 2010 in Monroe, LA. She was a homemaker and a member of East Haven Church of God. She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Gross and a brother, Terry Gross. Mrs. Plumley is survived by her husband of 36 years, Howard Plumley; daughter, Bettie Jean Jones and son, T. J. Plumley; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Plumley, Hunter Jones, and Kaitlin Jones; Mother, Eloise Gross; father-in-law, Hollis Plumley; 3 sisters, Linda Hutto and husband, H. C., Lois Meyers and husband, William, Dianne Summarell and Pablo Mata; brother, Charles Gross and wife, Elaine; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Marjorie Ross, Emma Ross, Polly Crymes, Julia Bissell, Lette Smith, and “Honey Bun” Hughes. Pallbearers will be, Billy Don Hughes, Larry Crymes, H. C. Hutto, Pablo Mata, and Tim and Scott Plumley. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at East Haven Church of God in Bastrop, LA.
