Funeral services for Bertley Abner Hay, 78, of West Monroe will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Crest Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church.
Bertley passed away January 13, 2021 after a brief illness and a hard fought battle. He was the true definition of a man of God. Bertley was always there to help anyone in need by volunteering at church, and with multiple charitable organizations. He always put others first and “No” wasn’t a word in his vocabulary. Bertley’s one true love, second to his sweetheart, was his passion for fishing; he loved taking his grands on these fun filled excursions. Bertley was an amazing Dad, Papa and loving husband of almost 57 years to the love of his life, Carol.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Joni Hay and Deidre Roberts; and a brother, Ricky Dale Hay.

Survivors include his wife Carol; son Jeremy and wife Tanya Hay; grandchildren Hannah Roberts, Tyler, Jordan, Madelyn Hay, Chelsey and Courtney; and 4 great-grandsons.
