My heart is sad to hear this news. Nanny was the kindest and sweetest person I have ever met. She was everything a child could want in a Grandmother. I have countless memories of her & I in that station-wagon delivering Avon, visiting church members, shopping in Monroe and all them trips to the Saturday Night Louisiana Hayride. She kept my social life quite busy! I loved & respected her most for making sure I knew Jesus. That is the best thing a Grandmother can do for her Grandchildren. I often thank God for putting her in mylife. I know today she is singing in Glory, and I bet she is patting her foot too! You are all in my prayers.

Miss Bernice was one of the first people I met, when I became a volunteer at the Oaks. She was very loving to me, and always concerned about how I was doing. I moved out of LA in February, 3 years after arriving, and she was still one of my closest friends. I was very inspired by her strong faith, even when she was feeling so sick. She also had such an amazing love for everybody at the Oaks. I'm so happy to see that she made it to 100, since that was one thing she assured me about from the beginning : And I rarely doubted it! I'm glad to know that she is now in Heaven with Miss Burchfield and her loved ones. May God give you all comfort, strength and peace during this time. You'll be in my prayers.

Psalms 91:14-16 KJV 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
