Barbarby Joseph ¨Bob Dufour, 76, of Ruston, LA passed away Sunday, August 13, 2006. Bob was survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Sue King Dufour, their seven children, Debby Nezat, Robert Dufour, Brenda Mitchell, Mitch Dufour, Susie Allen, Marcie Foster and Don Dufour. This family also includes 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. ¨Pop unselfishly dedicated his life to providing for his family. An exemplary life, grounded by a faith in God that left a legacy of leadership, love and loyalty now emulated by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob displayed loyalty and devotion to his country retiring as a Sgt. from the Army after earning a Purple Heart during the Korean War. His service to his country did not end with his retirement from the Army. Bob was an active member of the VFW and helped in establishing The North Louisiana Military Museum. Making, delivering and displaying American flags throughout the community was an honor for him and a duty he performed even while in the hospital. Bob retired from the Department of Public Safety and managed the Dixie Theatre in his early years. Mr. Dufour was a parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Vigil services will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monday, August 14th from 5:30 PM 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be conducted by Father Gary Bernhardt at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 15th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church.
