Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Hollis 71 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Huey Diffey officiating. Interment to follow at Clark Springs Cemetery, Eros, La., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.Mrs. Barbara Hollis was born July 29, 1936 in Calhoun, La., and died Friday, March 21, 2008 in West Monroe. Barbara moved to West Monroe, La., after her marriage. She loved to fish and garden and always enjoyed the harvest of hard work. Barbara retired from General Motors Corp., and was a member of Clark Springs Baptist Church in Eros, La.,Barbara always had a bright smile and a zest for life that brought her a multitude of lasting friendships. She was a loving devoted wife and mother and a kind generous friend. Barbara was married to H. V. Hollis for 51 years, and was preceded in death by Mr. Hollis. Barbara is survived by her children: five sons, Jackie Hollis and wife Becky, Jimmy Bo Hollis and wife Cindy, Frankie Hollis and wife Patty, Chris Hollis and wife Paula, and Keith Hollis and wife Julie, all of West Monroe, La., three daughters, Kathy Middleton and husband Jesse of Calhoun, La, Tammie Odom of West Monroe, La., and Sandy Stansbury and husband Jerry of West Monroe, La., 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Three brothers Eddie Spillers, C. D. Spillers and Charles Spillers all of West Monroe, La., Five sisters Vickie Frazier of Choudrant, La., Carol Webb of Mesquite, Tx, Ella Fay Spillers of West Monroe La., Lilly Messner of Ca, and Mary Santar of Ca., Barbara is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends and neighbor Harold and Helen ThomasPallbearers will be J.J.
