Friday December 28, 2007 at Pines Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Senior Pastor Mark Fenn under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.Ms. Witty was Born September 20, 1927 and passed away December 26, 2007.Ms. Witty was a member of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church in Monroe. She retired from Monroe City Schools as a teacher and taught several years at St. Christopher?s School. She was also a retired employee of Life Share Blood Center in Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Michael Scott Witty and sister: Genola Allen.Ms. Witty is survived by daughter: Kathleen Mitchell and husband Jim of Ruston; son: Milton Witty of West Monroe; grandchildren: Brant Mitchell and wife Amy of Hendersonville, TN, Meg Sanks and husband Michael of Dallas, TX, Abbie Mitchell of Ruston, LA, Bristen Witty of West Monroe, and Brelynn Witty of Mandeville, LA. The family would like to extend special thanks to Health South, Dr. Ed Mariano and Dr. Tommy Smith for the loving care of Ms. Witty.Memorials may be sent to the Louisiana Methodist Children?s Home in Ruston or Charity of the donor?s choice.Visitation will be Thursday December 27, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA.
