Funeral services for Arnold Walker, Sr. 88, of West Monroe will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Cedar Crest Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Cedar Crest Baptist Church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Arnold was born May 20, 1932 in Waverly, LA and passed away September 28, 2020 in West Monroe. He retired from Graphic Packaging after 26 years, and served in the United States Army. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents Allen Eugene Walker, Sr. and Annie Cupit Walker; daughter Patricia Lynn Walker and grandson Joshua Caleb Walker; sisters, Lenora Pierce and Julia Ann Harrell; brother James Benjamin Walker, Sr. Arnold was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church and North Louisiana Cowboy Church.
Arnold is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty Walker; son Arnold Walker, Jr. and wife Loraine; daughter Buffy Walker and fiancé Shannon Ardoin; granddaughters Melanie Walker, Kimberly Parker and husband Jamie, Ericka Willis and husband Joe, Maegan Sylvester and husband Brad; 13 great-grand children and a great-great grandson; brothers Daniel Walker and wife Barbara, Allen Eugene Walker, Jr. and wife Mary, Charles Ray Walker and wife Jan; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the men of Cedar Crest Baptist Church Cranford’s Disciple Life group.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Crest Baptist Church Building Fund.
