He was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met, a blessing to all who knew him. It was always a pleasure to see his smiling face in my office; it was an honor and privilege to have him as a customer and a friend.

I saw in the Leader Ansel's obituary. Thinking of you as you adjust. I assume that you will continue to live at the Arbor. Maybe Deborah will bring me to see you soon. Thinking of you. Ruth Walpole
Ronnie Vail left a message on February 24, 2024:
I knew him as "Mister Ansel", as I had many encounters with him at the Arbor where he and Miss Mary lived. The first time I "experienced" him was as I was walking down the hallway towards his apartment and was hearing a strange sound. I discovered that it was him... playing his violin, and the tune was "The Old Rugged Cross".. I was blown away! The next most meaningful time I "experienced" him was when he offered the prayer at a meal for a special occasion in the dining room. It was literally one of the most sincere, thoughtful, and beautiful prayers that I had ever heard. I had many other "experiences" with him after those... but there was no doubt in my mind that this man knew the Lord personally! He was one of the finest Christian men that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and coming to know. I have lost a great friend in "Mister Ansel" Winham. May the Grace of Our Lord be with his family as they enter into this season of his loss.
