Funeral services for Annie Pearl Balsamo, 86, of West Monroe, will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe with grandson Aaron Balsamo officiating . Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
Annie Pearl was born September 22, 1936 and passed from this life on December 9, 2022. She was a Christian, and a faithful member of Cypress Street Church of God for over 20 years. Annie loved her church family as much as her real family. She was a loving mother, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend. Annie spent her spare time watching old westerns, sipping her black coffee, shopping with her sisters, and spoiling her great-grandkids. If you knew Annie then you know her smile was truly contagious. She was an amazing person all around. It’s hard to put into words the incredible impact she had on so many. She truly had a servant’s heart, and will be greatly missed. Annie Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Balsamo, Sr.; parents Green and Quida Underwood; children Claude Dupree, Emily Lynn Chriceol, Leo Balsamo, Jr.; sisters Audry Courghan, Sara Jane Lawrence, Gladys Gilbert, Etta Tolbert, Mary Balsamo; brothers Charles, Marvin and Ronald Gene Underwood; grandsons Satcher Reynaud, Chance Dupree, Danny Dupree and Dana Dupree.
Annie is survived by her children Henry “Hank” Chriceol and wife Sandra, Billy Dupree and wife Marty, Lara Cornnor, Matt Balsamo, Floyd Robinson and wife Sharon and Corey Balsamo; numerous grand children and great grandchildren; sisters Pauline Lawrence, Joyce Dupree and Faye Balsamo; brother G.E. “Junior” Underwood and wife Barbara and extended relatives Gena Lafferty.
Serving as pallbearers will be Corbin Reynaud, Frank Ferguson, Steven Williams, T.J. Balsamo, Leo Balsamo III and Zach Allen.
Serving as honorary pallbearer Brandon Banks and Kaleb Allen.
