Funeral services for Annie Ruth Dartez, 94, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Brother Karvin Adams will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Annie was born on March 21, 1929 in Oak Grove and passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023 surrounded by her children. She was a member of Cypress Street Church of God. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Stewart; parents, Lizzie Mayo and Harley Welch; siblings, Akemon, Alton, James, Otis, Estelle, Dora, and Homer.
Annie is survived by her children, Rebecca Bolding and husband Steve, Bruce Stewart and wife Sharon, Cynthia Gowins and husband Steve, Melinda Darst and husband Dennis, John David Stewart and wife Sherri; nine grandchildren, Chris, Michael, Jerry, Richard, Dusty, Jennifer, Tammy, Kelly, Aimee, Haley, Amber; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild and one on the way; and many other cherished family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.

Prayers to Aunt Ruth's children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. We are missing our Matriarch, she held a close watch on everyone, her phone calls, sound of her sweet voice will all be missed. Her heart was Pure Gold. She and her sister Dora got their Heavenly Wings just hours apart and they are Rejoicing with our King of Kings, and loved ones. Their nephew Henry, my late husband deceased 4 1/2 months ago and I know they are all walking hand in hand. Love you Aunt Annie Ruth ❤️ With love, Carmen, Heather, Henry Jr and family.
